On a Stitching Roll

I have been working hard on my soldier memorial piece. It is a very quick stitch. I am pleased with how it is coming along. The shading really makes the ribbon pop out. I am wondering if the next time I should use a different fabric color. There is some shading on the right side, but you can barely see it on the white. Hmmmm.
