I tried my hand at my first design. The story behind the design is that our church is sending a missionary group to Asia in the fall. A lady in church has decided to try to make afghans, quilts, scarves, and hats for the missionaries to give away. So where does the butterfly come in? Well, she wants to add the pattern onto the quilts since the wings have a fish pattern in them.
So I scanned the original pattern ( a free one off the internet). Then I printed the scan and copied it onto graph paper. (Hubby is an engineer so we have lots of graph paper around- LOL!)
And here is what my first butterfly looks like. By accident I did Denver Broncos colors! Is that funny or what?
