Company, Halt!

There I was, zooming along on Home of a Needleworker. I was really close to being finished. Only the nose on the black bird, the scissors, and the ribbon border on the bottom. I was stitching, stitching, less than 100 stitches to go!

Frogs came a'courtin'....

Oooops! Can you see it?

Typically, I am a

lazy

non-perfectionist stitcher, but even I can't ignore that boo-boo. The last loop on the ribbon is not the right size.

Guess I will be frogging it out!

New Start

I started another pattern. This one is Blessings Be Thine, by Blackbird Designs.

Oh No, Oh No!!!!!

I started working today on the nativity wiseman. (I know that makes you happy, Rene!) I was going nice and slow on it today- don't want to make any mistakes. I put it down to take care of dinner and came back to find this!!!!!

It is highlighter. What am I going to do? It looks worse on the light color than the dark. I think I am going to have to frog those stitches and restitch that color. Hopefully I can find where the thread is buried on the back.

Things that Make You Go Arrrrgh!

I had a little bit of time to work on Patriotic Santa on Thursday. Last week, I accidentally cut a strand of blue on the right side of his scarf. I ended up having to pull out 2 1/2 rows of stitches before I was able to save the strand.

On Thursday I started stitching the blue again. I only had 2 more strands of the perl cotton because I bought this pattern fully kitted, and they supplied all the floss and fabric. One of the strands was not enough to finish the scarf. If you look closely, you can see the third row is only half complete. And I needed more blue for the flag. So I stitched what I could of the flag and now I am out of blue perl cotton.

It is really annoying to have to buy an entire skein of perl cotton just to get 20 inches of fiber. I will probably have to order it too, since there is not a local shop here, and my only choice is Hobby Lobby. Arrgh!

The Frogs Came Home...

Actually, this is a funny story. Yesterday morning, my youngest dd, BearLover, did in fact find a large frog in our garage. We had to open the door and I scared him out with a broom.

However, the frogs came to visit my stitching as well. Apparently, I accidentally cut a thread. So now I am ripping out rows of blue on Patriotic Santa, trying to find where I can save it. Arrrggg!
