2013 was a rough year for stitching.  I am hoping for a better 2014.

Here is my first project of the year, a Christmas ornament for oldest DD:

Stitching update

Here are some current WIPs that I have been working on this week.  I am not going to finish anything else before the end of the year and get a running start on next year!
Christmas ornaments for my twin nephews

This is oldest DD's current project.  We also bought a new pattern at the LNS this week.  I am planning to incorporate stitching into our homeschool curriculum.

Finish Number 19 and 20: Some quick stitches

I finished these up over the weekend.  I am trying to complete a set of Christmas ornaments for my brother's kids, plus for my own daughters.  I am a little behind on my kids, since I just had the idea this year, and my oldest is 11.  Oh well!

Christmas ornaments, designed by Artecy.  Stitched on 18 ct Charles craft Aida, using DMC.

First Finish of 2012

Here is a pattern I started on January 8th.  It is a Christmas ornament stocking by Artecy.

I added Youngest Daughter's name across the stocking and the year at the top.

Stitched on a scrap of Christmas fabric, don't have any idea what it is,
but it does have a sparkle woven into it
using DMC 326, 435, 742, and 986
Started January 9, 2012, completed January 14, 2012
while the Denver Broncos were getting creamed by the Patriots :(

Only 8 more stockings for Youngest Daughter, and 11 to stitch for Oldest!

Here is my sad and lonely seasonal shelf.

I only have the one January decoration.  What is a good decoration idea for January?
I will have to do a birthday pattern, since we have a January birthday,
but I'm afraid it won't get out for January of this year!

Finish 18 on November 5, 2011 (Happy Birthday Mom!)

One of the hints I got from a teacher at our retreat last weekend was to keep multiple needles threaded, so when you finish with one you can quickly move on to the next.  What a smart idea!  And also to outline more, so you don't have to keep counting every line.  No wonder she has stitched more than 200 projects so far this year!

Anyway, I have finally finished this Christmas ornament that has been a WIP all year.

Snowman with Cat, by Janlynn Corporation,

stitched on 14-ct plastic canvas, using DMC colors
blanc, 726, 947, 402, 605, 321, 209, 704, 3747, 799, 824, 310.
Finished November 5, 2011 (Happy Birthday, Mom!)

A Late Update

Well, things have been pretty busy getting ready for our move.  We also made another trip to the Big Island a couple of weeks ago, so I haven't had much stitching news.

First, I started one of the Mill Hill Christmas ornaments while on the Big Island.  It is coming along pretty nicely.

I also started a small project called Nightie Night by Twisted Threads.  It is going to be for my brother and sister-in-law's twins, expected sometime in November.

I will probably not have an update on here until after we move and get settled.  Talk to you then!
